Entities are like dictionaries used by the bot to provide personalized and accurate responses to specific topics.

They allow you to extract important information from the ongoing conversation, such as phone numbers or email addresses. You can use entities to ensure that your bot captures essential data accurately.

The bot uses entities to check the answers from your visitors. They can help create custom validation. For example, you can use them to determine which category of product to show the customer. When you ask the user what product they’re interested in, the bot might receive different responses like “Laptop”, “PC”, or “Gaming computer”. All of these belong to the category “Electronics”. Entities come in handy here. When you validate these responses using an entity (let’s call it “ShopCategory”), each of these three responses will automatically be saved as “Electronics”, saving both your and your customer time.
